Tuohi Mastercards will no longer be issued as of 7 July 2025.

However, you can continue to use your card as a charge card and credit card. Your credit limit will remain unchanged and the insurance benefits provided by your card will remain valid. You will be able to increase the credit limit of your Tuohi Mastercard.

You can only make transfers via Nordea Online Banking and Mobile Banking.

You can also continue to use the card normally in stores and online, as well as withdraw money from ATMs when needed.

The perfect backup card

If you choose to pay your purchase in instalments, you decide how much you repay each month. You can also transfer cash from your Tuohi Mastercard credit facility to your bank account. The credit limit on a Tuohi Mastercard can be between 2,000 and 10,000 euros. If your circumstances change, you can always apply for a higher credit limit. Keep track of your credit card transactions in Nordea Mobile or Netbank. If you don’t have Nordea access codes, you can use our My pages service to view your available balance.

It is no longer possible to add additional cardholders to the Tuohi Mastercard credit account. Existing additional cards will remain valid as normal.

PriceGuard guarantees you the best price

Even if you compare prices, you can never know which shop launches still better campaigns.  For this, the PriceGuard Insurance included in Tuohi Mastercard brings you an easement in payment, as it will compensate for the difference if you purchase a product at a higher price compared to the price at which the same item is sold somewhere else in Finland within 30 days of your purchase. The insurance covers any purchases made on your Tuohi Mastercard except where the Nordea Tuohi Mastercard is issued in conjunction with the first purchase at a store, that first purchase made in conjunction with the application and issuance of the Nordea Tuohi Mastercard will not be covered from the PriceGuard Insurance. PriceGuard Insurance is issued by Tryg.

Secure contactless payment

You can choose between a variety of payment instruments while making contactless payments: a card, smartphone, smartwatch, ring, bracelet or a keyfob. However, all smart payments have one thing in common: the contactless payment feature. It enables you to make secure and easy payments up to 50 euros. For withdrawals at ATMs and payments at shop payment terminals exceeding 50 euros, you will need a personal PIN. If necessary, you can order a new PIN in the My pages service or in Nordea Netbank, through Nordea Customer Service or at a Nordea branch.

Cash conveniently abroad

With your Tuohi Mastercard, you can withdraw cash at ATMs both in Finland and abroad. ATMs in foreign countries also provide you with an easy access to the local currency. Cash withdrawals are subject to a fee set in our tariff. You can set a security limit to your cash withdrawals and make changes to the limit whenever necessary in the My pages service or in Nordea Netbank or at a Nordea branch. Security limits refer to daily limits for cash withdrawals and payments at ATMs.

For secure online purchases

Tuohi Mastercard enables you to make secure payments in any online shops that accept Mastercards as a means of payment. To make an online payment, you will always need the validity period of your card and the three-digit security code from the back of the card. Online payments exceeding 30 euros require strong authentication with Nordea ID app. You can download the app at App Store or Google Play using the online banking codes of your own bank.

Tuohi Mastercard is an international charge and credit card with a continuous credit facility which is valid until further notice and has a credit limit between 2,000 and 10,000 euros. The annual percentage rate (APR) for an outstanding credit balance of 2,000 euros is 25.2% and the estimated total cost of the credit is 2,254.30 euros when the credit interest rate is the variable 3-month Euribor rate (3.5% in September 2024) + 14% (meaning a total interest rate of 17.5% in September 2024), the monthly account management fee is 5 euros and the credit is repaid in 12 instalments (188 euros) once a month. The creditor is Nordea Finance Finland Ltd, Aleksis Kiven katu 9, Helsinki.
