You have been granted finance and got the car you need, but our services do not end there. There may be changes in your life, you may want to travel or you may decide to change cars. We at Nordea Finance Finland will do our best to accommodate your situation and make it happen. Below you can find answers to some of our most frequently asked questions. What can I do in the Car Finance self-service channels?”

You can log in to the service using any Finnish bank’s online banking codes (excluding Säästöpankki) and view up-to-date details of your car credit. In the service, you can also see your outstanding debt in case you want to change cars during the agreement period. Log in to the service hereOpens new window.

As a Nordea customer, you can send customer mail via Netbank when you need to adjust the due date or the repayment schedule and agree on other matters which cannot be discussed via email due to bank secrecy.

“I’m a Nordea customer – where can I see the details of my car credit?”

You can view your car credit information in Nordea Mobile by going to the Overview tab and in the new Nordea Netbank by going to the Finance tab and by selecting a link Loans.

I want to change the due date and repayment schedule of my monthly payments.

If there are changes in your life, you can adjust the due date and repayment schedule or make other changes by calling our Customer Service. As a Nordea customer, you can also send us customer mail via Netbank or Nordea Omaposti. Due to bank secrecy, we cannot discuss credit-related matters via email. 

I want to make an overpayment.”

You can make an overpayment to your credit, which automatically reduces the total amount of debt and thus the total interest payable. It is therefore not an advance payment towards the next monthly payment.

If you want the overpayment to be counted as an advance payment towards the next monthly payment, please contact our Customer Service before making the overpayment. We can make this change without any hassle or additional costs. 

I want to take my car abroad.”

"I would like to trade in or sell my car."

You are free to trade in or sell your car mid-term. Read more about the easiest way to do this in various circumstances hereOpens new window. If you have finance on your previous car, please check the amount of your outstanding debt before making a new finance calculation.

What exactly happens when my agreement ends?”

Once you have paid off your debt, we will send you a certificate for registration by post. With this, you can register the car in your name. Read more hereOpens new window.

If you wish to sell your car to a third party after having paid off all monthly payments, we will deliver the certificate to the new owner if separately so agreed. When the ownership of the car is transferred directly to the new owner, we need a copy of the deed of transfer or deed of sale by post or fax.
