How can I use the car finance self-service channels?

You can log in to the self-service channels with your bank’s online banking codes and view up-to-date information about your hire-purchase agreement.  Log in to the car finance self-service channels.Opens new window

Making changes to your hire-purchase agreements is not yet possible in our self-service channels. If you want to change your due date or discuss something else with us, you can send us a message in Nordea’s Omaposti service. If you are a Nordea customer, you can also send us a message via Nordea Mobile or Netbank. Select ‘Nordea Finance’ as the topic of your message.

How can I see my car loan details in Nordea Mobile and Netbank?

You can now easily view your car loan details in Nordea Mobile and Netbank whenever it suits you, just as with other Nordea loans.

  • In Netbank, go to the Finances tab and select Loans.
  • In Nordea Mobile, go to the Overview tab and select Loans.

Here you can check the details of your next and previous monthly payment, the remaining balance and the details of the repayment schedule and other basic details, among others.

Can I change the due date of my monthly payment?

If your circumstances change, you can change the due date easily by sending a request for change via Nordea OmapostiOpens new window or by calling our Customer ServiceOpens new window. If you are a Nordea customer, you can also send us a message via Nordea Mobile or Netbank. Select ‘Nordea Finance’ as the topic of your message and indicate the desired new due date. Changing the due date is free of charge.

The change of due date will be applied as of the next payment. Your hire-purchase agreement must be up to date before the change.

Can I apply for a payment holiday or reduce the monthly payments?

You can apply for a payment holiday for your hire-purchase agreement (change to repayment schedule) if there is a compelling reason due to a change in your life situation. A payment holiday means that you only pay interest and fees on your hire-purchase agreement.

How to apply for a payment holiday?

You can apply for a payment holiday by calling us. During the call, we will ask you:

  • The reason for applying a payment holiday
  • Your agreement number/registration number
  • For how many months you will need a payment holiday
  • As of which month/payment you will need a payment holiday
  • Your preferred method of signing (digital signature/signature in writing) the new repayment schedule
  • NOTE! If you choose digital signature, remember to provide your phone number

The change is subject to a fee set in our tariffOpens new window

Once your application is approved, we will send you the new repayment schedule for signing. You need to return it to us duly signed. After this, we will make the change and your payment holiday will take effect.

You can sign the change to your repayment schedule digitally via Nordea Omaposti or through Nordea Mobile or Netbank. If you wish, we will send you a form by post. You can return the signed form in the enclosed return envelope. When you call us, let us know how you would like to sign the new repayment schedule.

Can I make an overpayment?

If you want to pay extra towards your loan, the overpayment will automatically reduce your total amount of debt and thus the total interest payable. It is therefore not an advance payment towards the next monthly payment. If you want the overpayment to be counted as an advance payment towards the next monthly payment, please contact us before making the overpayment. We can make this change without any hassle or additional costs.
