“I have repaid my credit in full – how can I register the car in my own name?”

Once your credit has been paid off, we will fill in a notification of transfer, and you will have to make a notification of the ownership change in Traficom’sOpens new window My e-Services, at a registration service point or with your own insurance company. 

Please note that you must make the notification of the ownership change within seven days of the date of our notification of transfer.

We will send you a message about the notification of transfer digitally to Nordea’s OmapostiOpens new window by letter to your home address. We will inform you of the Omaposti message via an SMS or email. 

“I need to add another name to my registration certificate for the residential parking permit.”

Please submit the request through Nordea Omaposti or a message in Nordea Mobile or Netbank. Include the registration number, the person’s name and personal identity number and the reason for the request in your message. The co-holder is not required to have any contractual relationship with Nordea Finance. This change is subject to a fee in accordance with our and Traficom’s tariffs.

“I'm not using my car for now and want to declare it off the road.”

No problem. First, check with your insurance company that your insurance covers all damage also when your car is declared off the road. Then contact our Customer Service. This change is subject to a fee.

Once your car has been declared off the road, you are not allowed to drive the car until it has been registered as on the road again.   

“I would like to register my car as on the road again.”

Contact our Customer Service well in advance. Also notify your insurance company. This change is subject to a fee. See our and Traficom’s tariffs at the bottom of the page.

“I'm switching insurance companies.”

Fill in an insurance application in the insurance company of your choice and ask them to provide Nordea Finance with the details of your new insurance. If switching to another insurance company requires making changes to your financing agreement and/or vehicle registration, these changes are subject to a fee.
